DASAHARA FESTIVAL AT BASTAR
Day1- 1stoct11-sat-NETHERLAND--CALCUTTA
Arrival at calcutta and meet our representative and transfer to hotel.in the center of Calcutta.
Day2-2nd oct11-sun- Calcutta site seeing
Calcutta is known as City of Joy and truely living city to explore. In the morning walk in the city which will cover the old colonial buildings, daily market, river ghat, ferry ride, colourful flower market, MOTHER TERESA destitute home, kali temple. Afternoon visit the jain temple, impressive Victoria memorial etc. Enjoy the dinner in a typical Bengal restaurant.
Day3-3rd oct11-mon-Calcutta- Raipur
Morning excursion to Dakshineswar temple and Kumartalli terracotta village. Afternoon transfer to the airport to board the flight for Raipur. Upon arrival transfer to a comfortable hotel. Evening explore this town.
Day4-4rth oct 11-tue—Raipur-kanker-Jagdalpur
After breakfast short drive to kanker to visit the dear horn muria tribes at their village.Enjoy the Keshkal tropical forest and the jungle walk. Further drive to Kondagaon to visit the craft centers. Overnight stay in a hotel at jagdalpur.
Day5-5th oct11-wed- JAGDALPUR- DASAHARA FESTIVAL
Visit the kanger valley which has beautiful caves and waterfall. Visit the muria tribal village. Afternoon excursion to chitrakoot to visit the spectacular waterfall. Explore and enjoy the festival in front of danteswari temple.
Day6-6th oct11-thu-DASAHARA Festival
Today is the festival of Mother goddess Durga. The tribal community gather infront of the temple and dance with their natural costumes. It’s a great festivity and occasion to experience. Overnight stay in the same hotel.
Day7-7th oct11-fri- JEYPORE-GUPTESWAR
Morning visit the kotapad textile village which has unique dying process . Then proceed to Gupteswar and overnight stay in a Dhuruba gond Village. These indigeneous Dhuruba tribes are the hunters group and stay in the deep forest and skilled in bamboo work. Enjoy the stay in this village.
Day8-8th oct11-sat-GUPTESWAR-DHURUBA VILLAGE
Morning walk in the trails through deep forest and along the river to visit the secret cave shrine for the tribes. Enjoy the picnic lunch . Short drive to baligaon to visit the weekly market for cattle trade and vegetables. Overnight stay in the same village.
Day9-9th oct11-sun- BONDA market-Gadaba village
After breakfast proceed to Mundiguda to visit the most primitive and colourful bonda tribes at their weekly market. Bonda ladies love to cover their neck with silver necklaces, beeds etc. Further drive to machakund region to visit the Gadaba tribes. If desire experience the stay in a gadaba village or drive to jeypore for a hotel stay.
Day10-10th oct11-mon- Rayagada
Drive to Koraput to visit the tribal museum and the interesting jagannath temple., enroute visit the paraja, mali tribal villages. Walk to friendly mali tribal village. Overnight stay in a comfortable hotel.at rayagada.
Day11-11th oct11-tue- KACHAPAI KONDH VILLAGE
Short drive to Bissamcuttack region to visit the weekly market for Desia kondh tribes. Then walk to pottery village, kondh village. Overnight stay in a kondh village where the people are very friendly and hospitable .
Day12-12oct11-wed- DUNGURIA HIGHLANDERS-TAPTAPANI
Morning drive to Chatikona to meet the dunguria hill tribes who are horticulturist and inhabited in the Niyamgiri hilltop. Its nice to walk in the foothill and the weekly market to meet these groups. After few memorable hours, drive to taptapani to enjoy the stay in a tourist bunglow along the hotspring. Enjoy the hotsulpher bath and view of the forest. Enroute visit the tibettian village and their monastry.
Day13-13th oct11-thu-CHILIKA LAKE_PURI
Drive to Puri- the divine land for Lord Jagannath. Enroute enjoy the boat ride in the lap of Chilika lagoon to see the birds in nature. Enjoy the stay in a hotel along the beach.
Day14-14th oct11-fri- PURI—KONARK
Morning explore this traditional pilgrim town by the cycle rickshaw ride which wll cover the grand jagannth temple, lively water tank, cremation place, small shrines, beach market. Afternoon excursion trip to konark to visit the world famous sun temple . Overnight stay in the same hotel.at Puri.
Day15-15th oct11-sat-Bhubaneswar-Calcutta-
Morning drive to Bhubaneswar to visit this temple city. Enroute visit the Raghurajpur village to see the painting, handicraftetc. Board the flight for Calcutta in the afternoon and further connect to the international flight for home.
