Arrival in Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha, highly known for its ancient temples and rich history. Upon arrival, warm welcome by our rep. with pick up assistance and check into luxury hotel or resort such as Mayfair lagoon or Trident hotel. After settling in, explore the old city which is known as temple City. A Heritage walk with guided tour to explore the iconic temples like grand Lingaraj temple, artistic Mukteswar temple, Anant Basudev temple and Rajarani temple and holy Bindusarovar tank. This interesting walk will be ended at a Herbal and medicinal plant garden. Evening enjoy a luxurious dinner at one of the luxury restaurant savoring authentic Odia cuisine.
After a nice breakfast at your hotel, visit to Kalabhoomi, very well maintained handicraft and textile museum to learn about the regions art, craft and textile and Culture. In the afternoon, excursion to Mangalajodi along the Chilika lake to enjoy a birding trip during sunset. The peaceful catamaran ride into the water channels to meet the various migratory and residential birds is truly an experience. After breakfast, depart for Puri, a coastal and spiritual city known for Lord Jagannath temple and pristine beaches. After a beautiful sunrise walk with breakfast, depart for Chilika lagoon, a serene brack water lagoon surrounded by picturesque landscapes. After a relaxed lunch with transfer to your respective rooms. Afternoon, short drive to Joranda to meet the unique holy Mahima monks and experience their sunset prayer in the monastery. Then departure for Bhubaneswar to board your return flight. If time permits, enroute visit to Sadeibareni village to see the Dhokra craft ( unique metalcraft based on lost wax wine process) and weavers village where you will be invited by the master weavers family to see the various steps in weaving from silk cocoon to tie and dying to live weaving by the century old looms . Enjoy the lunch at the weavers home and drive for Bhubaneswar to board the evening flight to return home with sweat memories.
