Nature Tour

There is no better place then the great wildlife of Orissa to enjoy the beauty of nature and its inhabitants at the same time. Famous sanctuaries like Chilka Lagoon and Nandankanan,Bhitarkanika crocodile sancuary, similipal national park are rich in flora and fauna and make a wonderful wildlife adventure holiday amidst the wild jungles of Orissa. Jungle safari through the deep forests of these sanctuaries and national parks is nothing less than a thrilling adventure in the woods.

Itinerary 1 :- 2nights 3day journey

• Day 1: Departure Calcutta at 6.00A.M by Dhauli Express for Bhadrak (5-Hours) & then by car to Chandbali to take a boat to the sanctuary. Arrival 'Dangamala' the core area further 3 hours of exciting boatride through creeks of mangroove forest. Over night in the forest guest house in the forest.
  
  
• Day 2: During early morning (5.00 A.M) a walk in the forest with a very special forest gaurd to witness thousands of birds at their nesting place & lot of reptiles. After 4-5 hrs, walk back to the forest guest house for break fast. During afternoon take a boat ride along the river to see large crocodiles laying on the river bed. Back to base camp after memorable sunset.

• Day 3: A boat ride for 3 hrs to the main land & then drive for 4 hours to "Bhubaneswar". One extra free day may be added in the forest.
  
  

  Itinerary 2 :- 7 nights 8day journey
  

  
  Day-1-Bhubaneswar

  Arrival Bhubaneswar Railway station/Airport .transfer to a comfortable hotel.

  Visit the famous Lingaraj temple ,kedar gauri temple, Bindusarovar tank. Afternoon visit the ancient jain caves at Khandagiri and Udaygiri during the sun setting.

  Day2-Nandankanan Zoo- Chandabali

  Morning visit the whitetiger safari , botanical garden,wildlife Zoo at Nandankanan-
  Then proceed to Chandabali to stay in a hotel along the river side…Chandabali is the
  Entry pont to Bhitarakanika crocodile national park. 

  Day3-- Chandabali- Bhitarkanika crocodile sanctuary

  Morning take the boat to the bhitarakabika crocodile sanctuary ( 3 hrs). enjoy the boat ride through numerous river creeks through mangrove forest ,see the estuarine crocodiles in nature. Visit the crocodile breeding center at dangamal island. If desire take a jungle walk to see the spotted deers, water moniter and lot of birds in nature.
  Afternoon back to chandabali by boat. And overnight stay at Chandabali.

  Day4—Puri

  Drive to puri- the holy abode Of Lord jagannath. On arrival check into a beach side hotel , Rest and relax. Afternoon visit Lord Jagannath temple.where the local priest will assist you in making a guarrented darshan. Also visit the beach market in the evening.

  Day5-Puri

  Free morning for your own to be on the beach/ visit the local market for shopping.
  Afternoon an excursion to konark and chandrabhaga to witness the magnificent sun temple at konark. Also see the illuminated konark temple in the evening and drive back to puri. 

  Day6--Rambha-Chilika lagoon

  Drive To Rambha to enjoy the stay in a hotel besides the chilika lagoon. Enjoy the boat trip in the lap of chilika lagoon by visiting the birds island./breakfast island/ bekon island

  Day7-- Rambha- Bhubaneswar

  Morning visit the Narayani  temple. Then drive to Bhubaneswar  to visit the Ashokan ruck edict and peace pagoda at Dhauli. Visit the niccopark – truly a fun world for the children.
  Overnight stay  at bhubaneswar. 

  Day-8-  Departure to the airport/ railway station for the onward journey

Destinations & Wildlife Covered: Balasore - Similipal Park Chandipur- Bhadrak - Chandbali - Dangamal - Bhitarkanika - Nandankanan - Chilika Lake-Nalaban- Rambha- Bhubaneswar

Orissa Wildlife Tour Duration - 09 Days / 08 Nights

Day 01-Balasore- Lulung
Upon arrival at Balasore railway station meet our heritage tours representative and transfer to Lulung (the gate way of Similipal National Park). Refresh at Lulung Aranyaniwas and overnight stay at there.

Day 02-Similipal Park-Joranda- Barehipani- Chahala
Early standup for departure the core area of Similipal national Park. Drive toward Chahala Enroute explore the beautiful view of famous waterfall– Joranda and Barehipani.
Trekking (1hr) at the core area, sight the foot print of different animals.
Overnight stay in Chahala guest house.
Note : wild animal such as elephant, boar , spotted deer etc. sighting depend upon the luck of guest.

Day03-Similipal Park- Chandipur
Early morning standup and move towards salt field place and watch the wild animal.
After breakfast departure for Chandipur via: Jashipur.
Chandipur: a different beach of India where the sea water recedes at least 3 to 5 kms from the shore. Afternoon enjoy the sun set on the beach and overnight stay in a clean and decent hotel on the beach.

Day04-Bhadrak-chandbali- Bhitarkanika NP.
Morning enjoy the sun rise on beach and departure for Chandbali via: Bhadrak.
Ride a boat (3hr) for Bhitarkanika National park.
Bhitarkanika: 2nd largest mangrove forest in India, having area 756 sq kms . of different flora and funa. Famous for wild salt crocodile, spotted deer, wild boar, different birds including  8 variety of Kingfisher.
Check in a forest guest house at Dangamal (Bhitarkanika) overnight stay in  there.

Day05-Bhitarkanika National Park-Chandbali
Early morning trekking towards core area and explore the wild animal , birds and different flora.  
Enjoy your packet Lunch during returning to main land.
Upon arrival main land (Chandbali) check in a decent hotel on the bank of baitarani river.

Day06-Chandbali-Nandankanan safari- Bhubaneswar
Departure for Bhubaneswar (4hr drive).
Visit the  Nandankanan Zoo, located in Chandaka Forest along the Kanjia Lake is the habitat of the White Tiger, 67 other animals, 18 reptiles, and 81 species of birds. The Zoo has successfully bred black panthers, white tigers and the gharial crocodiles in captivity.
Drive to Bhubaneswar/ Nandankanan Zoo in Chandaka Forest, 25 kms
White Tiger Safari , Lion Safari and Botanical Garden are added attraction to enjoy.
Lunch at Nandankanan . Return to Bhubaneswar
Dinner and overnight stay in Bhubaneswar

Day 07-Bhubaneswar-Chilika lake- Nalaban- Rambha
Chilika:-1,100 sq. km of Asia's largest brackish water lake.  Paradise for migratory birds and wild Irrawady dolphin on nature. Also interesting on boating.

Departure from Bhubaneswar toward Chilika lake.  Boating on the lake at Barkul. Meet the migratory birds near Nalaban Island. Return back to main land for lunch. 
Late afternoon small walk near to the fishermen villages.

Departure for Rambha. Overnight stay in a decent hotel on the bank of Chilika lake and relax.

Day 08-Chilika lake-Satapada-dolphin-Puri
After breakfast departure for Puri via: Chilika lake, enroute passing small islands viewing  different birds .
While crossing the lake by ferry meet the wild Irrawady dolphin on nature.
Then by road drive towards Puri.
PURI: A holy small eastern Indian city on the shore of bay of bangle.
Check  in a decent hotel on beach.
Free afternoon for self. Overnight stay in the same hotel at Puri.

Day 09-Departure at Bhubaneswar airport/ Railway station.
Check out and departure for Bhubaneswar for your onward destination.
