This tribal tour of Orissa has been designed to take you to the ethnic weekly tribal haats(market) in various parts of the state where you get a very colourful insight into tribal customs, traditions and their life style.Some of the highlights are weekly tribal market at dukum( desia kondh tribe), Chatikona (Dunguria hill tribe), Bonda tribal weekly market and Baligaon market for the cattle trading.
Besides the weekly market, your ethnic experience includes a visit to Saora, Dunguria kondh settlements,ethnic villages of gadaba, mali, didayi, tribal museum at koraput, famous artisan village at raghurajpur, pottery village,fisherman village, traditional weaving village and Unique holy mahimamonks and their great monastry. And many other splendors of orissa that leave you with everlasting memories.

ITINERARY
D1-DELHI / MUMBAI / CALCUTTA-VISAKHAPATNAM-RAYAGADA
Arrival Delhi / Mumbai / Calcutta then take connective flight for Visakhapatnam, upon arrival meet our Heritage Tours representative and transfer to Rayagada (5hr drive).
Overnight: clean and comfort hotel at Rayagada.
D2-SAURA TRIBE- DESIA TRIBE VILLAGE/ RAYAGADA
AM-After refreshment drive towards Lanjia Soura village (2 hr drives) See the different housing pattern, their dress wearing, terrace cultivation and the famous dream painting.
Drive toward Desia Tribe village (4HR). enroute enjoy the packet lunch.
PM-Then drive toward Desia tribe village- surrounding by beautiful hill and zig zag all weather path / you can stay in the basic tent at Desia tribe village. Or
Drive back to Rayagada again for overnight staying.
D3-DUNGURIA TRIBE- JEYPORE (must be Wednesday )
Morning proceed to Chatikona (40 km) to witness the Interesting & colourful weekly market of the Dongaria kondh tribes.
This day this interesting ornamental Tribes come down from their mountain will known as Niayamgiri hill range. This is an unique opportunity to witness them before they come and mix with other community in the market, so we will take you 2/3 km from the market near the Niyamgiri hill, so to watch & enjoy these community coming down with different kinds of fruits, animal etc.
Free time in the market.
Drive back to Jeypore (4hr), enroute visit the paraja tribe village.
Overnight at Jeypore.
D4-BONDA TRIBE- MALI TRIBE VILLAGE/ JEYPORE (Must be Thursday)
After early breakfast proceed to Ankadelli - 70 km to witness the most primitive, interesting & unique tribal weekly market of the Bonda tribes. The place is the border of the neighboring state of Andhra Pradesh, divided by river Machkund, with interest waterfall, mountain & forest.
2/3km walk to witness the Bonda man & woman coming down from the forest side. It is being considered that at present Bondas are the most primitive tribe of India or otherwise known as the Necked tribes of the mountain. Bonda women with their silver & brass rings around the neck, hundred of necklaces on the body, shaved hair a small cloth wrapped down to cover half of the private areas are out of any history book. In the other side the Bonda men with their bow & arrow with country made liquor. A fascinating one to watch.
Free time in the market. Afternoon proceed to Bantalbiri area to explore another primitive tribal community the Gadhaba - you can watch the most colorful tribal dance call DEMSA. (subject to available the drum man). Overnight stay in a basic tent at Mali tribe village.

Drive back to Jeypore for overnight staying.
D5-KUNDULI-GUPTESWAR-
Enjoy the Largest weekly market of paraja , rana, Mali tribe at Kunduli . after some time at the colorful weekly market drive to Gupteswar area – and overnight stay in a basic tent at there or the tourist bunglow (subject to available).
D6-DHURUBA TRIBE- NIGHT TRAIN FOR CHILIKA
Morning trek (2hr) for excursion the Dhuruba tribe village and witness the life style and tattooing their arms, separate their home boundary by wood pillar, their worship place and their culture. Also visit the hidden shiva shrine (cave temple) near saveri river.
Afternoon visit the weekly market of Dhuruba tribe at Baligaon (famous for three things –the crop measurement, buffalo and sheep/goat auxsion , country side chicken market.
After some time drive towards, Koraput for board the night sleeping coach train for CHILIKA.
D7-CHILIKA LAKE
AM-early departure for CHILIKA (6 hr).
PM- Chilika lake enjoy the orissan sea food –lunch at their.
Then after boating on Chilika lake enjoy the sun set while boating.
Return back to shore.
Overnight: stay in clean and comfort hotel at Rambha.
D8-CHILIKA LAKE- PURI
Check out and proceed toward Puri crossing over the Chilika lake. By ferry with taxi.
While crossing over the lake meet the wild Irrawady Dolphin on nature.
PURI: a holly city – land of lord Jagannath (Dham) on the bank of bay of Bengal.
Check in a nice hotel on beach.
D9-PURI-KONARK- PURI
Visit Jagannath temple over platform and excursion & explore the culture of puri such as old street, old tank , marshall art place by cycle rickshaw.
Afternoon excursion the world famous Konark- Sun temple (13th Century AD).
Evening enjoy the illumination of sun temple and return back to Puri for overnight staying.
D10-PURI VILLAGE TOUR- PURI
Take the country side road to explore the Brahmin village, Pottary village, paddy field then to visit the artisian village- Raghurajpur where whole villagers are artisian and after some time with artist. Enjoy the classical Gotipua dance at their village.
Drive back to PURI.
One complimentary orissan traditional typical dinner at Wildgrass restaurant at Puri.

D11-TEXTILE VILLAGE- JORANDA- DHENKANAL
Departure from Bhubaneswar to Joranda(4hr) . Enroute visit the unquine textile village – Nuapatna. Special tie and dye system of textile weaving. After some time with the weavers.
After lunch short drive to Joranda to visit the Alekha mahima monastry. Just Imagine these monks are wearing the bark of the trees and having five feet matted hair .they are believing in non-idol worship. Also visit sunya mandir , dhuni mandir and . Attend the unique prayer during the sunsetting & witness there worship with holy fire/ for the peace and harmony of the universe. overnight in the clean and comfort hotel either at Dhenkanal. There is also Palace at Dhenkanal guest can stay at there.
D12-BUDDHIST CIRCUIT- CHANDBALI
After breakfast drive down to Chandbali – the mouth of Bhitarkanika (2nd largest Mangrove forest in india.).
Enroute visit the famous Diamond triangle- Lalitgiri/ Udaygiri / Ratnagiri (Buddhist Circuit). Witness the Buddhist philosophy through iconography – 2nd to 10th century AD.
Upon arrival chanbali check in a clean and comfort hotel on the bank of “Baitarani” river.
D13-BHITARKANIKA NATIONAL PARK
Morning take a boat for Bhitarkanika National Park (2 ½ hr boat ride) and arrival at Dangamal. Check in a forest guest house / eco tent. Having attached toilet / bathroom.
Enjoy the flora and funa of the mangrove forest.
Overnight stay in a same accommodation.
D14-BHITARKANIKA- BHUBANESWAR
Early morning trekking towards the core area witness the wild deer, boar, jungle hen, and many more.
Over the watch tower witness the birds.
While boating witness the wild basking crocodile on nature. Return back to base camp and then check out and proceed towards mainland and while returning enjoy your packet lunch on boat.
Return back to Bhubaneswar.
Overnight: at Bhubaneswar.
D15-BHUBANESWAR
Visit the ancient temple on temple of temple city – Bhubeneswar- such as : Parasurameswar (7th AD), Mukteswar (9th AD), Lingaraj (11th AD-visit over the platform).
Enjoy the sun set over the top of Khandagiri and Udaygiri Jain cave (2nd century BC).
Overnight: Bhubaneswar
D16-DEPARTURE
Departure for Bhubaneswar airport – to your onward destination.
